On my 1997 catalina 380 I had issues with the RPM dropping after about 15 minutes under load, replaced both fuel filters (primary twice), replaced lift pump, polished fuel, and finally realized the vent line must have a mud dauber plug.
Cleaned and it ran 2 1/2 hours without a single burp.
