Engine takes a break the final chapter!

Thanks to all who helped here and the prize goes to Barry Olsen, yes the engine self bleeds. With a fuel tank cleaner than the board of health and new filters I can motor, if necessary all day long without the engine taking another break. The fun part was removing the tank from the boat...whew!!!!!

The Westerbeke I now have is my first diesel and I was a bit intimidated at first. Now after 6 years I more comfortable working on it. I find it to be larger and heavier than similiar size Yanmars. Parts are readily available and so far all I've changed it the sea water impeller a few times. Gotta love that fuel system though. Good luck.Barry
