Just bought the boat (H27) today!
Well, I carefully considered the possible downsides - new sails, new engine - and am now the proud owner of an 1980 Hunter 27!It's now in my slip at the end of our block. Securely tied - tied up first at low tide, adjusted a couple of times before and at high tide. Just checked her now, next low at 2am. I'll check her at least once before then. Will make damn sure to mark the lines once I'm satisfied. Been a number of years but I'll braid up some lines when I'm happy.I'm 'sleeping' on the couch. Wife doesn't seem to appreciate the finer points of tying up a boat so it doesn't hit a piling, bulkhead or finger dock and seeing if moving the boat up and down a couple of feet doesn't cause a bit too much or little tension. Lord knows what she'd say if I didn't check it and a cleat got pulled out (or worse).I am one HAPPY man. Hey even my wife's excited!
