I think you are o.k. I am guessing that water got into the cylinder/s. But not enough water got in to bend a rod. If the engine still starts up now, it is o.k...Give it a try. If it is hard to start or will not start, you could have bent a rod. In other words, if water fills the cylinder, water does not compress like air does. So, as a result, you bend the rod. After a rod is bent, you get very poor compression. If you have poor compression, your engine will not start or will have a lot of trouble starting.
