I have a few questions for the folks that know much more about engines that I do...1. I was trying to change out the raw water impeller and I took it off the engine block, but the screws that held the pump cover on seems locked onto the pump pretty well. As I tried to get them off, it seemed that they wanted to strip the head before wanting to loosen. I sprayed them with WD-40 to no avail. Is there a way to get them off - should I try using my cordless drill with more torque and just hope for the best. If I strip the heads, how can I get the screws off without having to replace the pump?2. If there are small areas of rust on the engine, should I hit them with a wire brush and sand and paint over? Is there a special engine paint and if so, where can you get it? Do some people just leave it - I would rather have everything looking ship-shape though. Thanks for any suggestions.
