Engine RPM ? 2GM-20F

I purchased my boat with no manuals. Can anyone tell me the RPM range for my Yanmar? Thanks, -R 1989 33.5 / 2GM-20F

My hunter owners manual states continuous rating rpm 3400. My 2001-290 fresh water cooled 2GM20F max out at about 3400 and I always try to run it at 3400 when motoring before we put the sails up. Yanmar recommends racing the engine after any low speed for long periods of time,this is done to clean out carbon from the cylinders and the fuelin jection valve. I have found that too much low speed running of the engine can result in clogging up the mixing elbo also. nick
