Engine roon lining?

I will soon be replacing my engine. My engine room walls, for lack of
a better discription, is lined in lead sheets for fire proofing and
sound absorbtion. My question is for everyone out there who has
replaced a motor. Do I leave the lead lining or replace with a new
sound insulation matting? Do I install the matting over the lead or
remove the lead sheeting all together?

I lined the engine room as part of a re-engine (Beta) exercise, so dont
have any feel for the difference the insulation had. All I can say is
that when working on the deck you cant hear or feel weather the engine
is running or not, even at 5kts.
