Rob The time it takes is dependent on your tools (lifting device) and on the level of corrosion (difficulty) around the exhaust manifold and prop shaft couplers and engine mounts. I have removed the YSB12 from the 1977 H30 several times. If there are no delays from the above areas, it should not require more than 1 to 2 hours to remove the engine. On the other hand, the first time the rust was so bad it took the better part of a day. What works best for me is to slide the engine into the salon using plywood pieces and a few 2x4 blocks cut to fit. Then I use a davit on the seawall to hoist out the engine. If you leave the accessories on the engine it can be a tight fit getting it out into the salon, For this reason I removed the water pump and I think also the exhaust assembly. Maybe also the alternator and starter. Installation is much slower because of the engine alignment requirements. For hoisting I have also used the main halyard but the winch is a bit puny. Have fun.
