Does anyone have any experience repowering the standard C30 Universal M25 engine with the newer replacement, the XP-25? Can you please share any major problems/issues/hints & tips that might be useful? Thanks!

XP25 Repower
They are essentially the same engines. The M25 is 21HP, the XP is 23, with a bigger heat exchanger and the improved (read: finally they got it right although they would not admit a mistake) alternator bracket. For those of you with M25s with the original alternator brackets, please see www.c34org and check Projects for critically important advice about replacing the old brackets which can and will catastrophicly fail without notice. If you are thnking abou an even newer Universal engine, I would guess it just will not fit in the space available in your C30.
