Engine Problems

I recently purchased a Hunter 34 with a Yanmar 3MGF My problem is, It won't idle after warming up. I've changed fuel filters, replaced the fuel and checked all fittings. It's pretty stressfull docking and picking up a mooring when the engine stalls and won't restart. Any Help???

Air leak?

I had a similar problem on my 2gm. After trying all that you did, I gave up and let the yard mechanic take a look. He found a very small air leak in the fuel deliery at one of the filters. He tighten it and it has been purring like a kitten ever since. Hope this is it.

Check pickup tube

Had similar problem, Took screen out of the pickup tube in fuel tank, replaced the fuel hose... no more problem.J. GalbraithS/V Dinnae-Ken II h34

idle speed adjustment

I know there are a lot of things that can go wrong but sometimes the simplist things get over looked. In addition to the other suggestions check the throttle linkage and idle adjustment screw. Just a thought, Good Luck!
