I've found out that the engine mount shoulders on my 1978 33 are not solid and the lag bolts are giving way. Has anyone reinforced thiers? or have any suggestions. Ben

Ben, I reinforced the engine mounts on a Hunter 27 by drilling about a 1" hole in the wood, then use a short length of hardwood dowell pin and apoxy the dowell pin in the hole. Then redrill the hardwood dowell pin with the proper size hole to fit the lag screw. Be sure not to drill the hole too large for the lag screw. They squeak and protest as you screw them in but they will hold. The 33 has an additional board for the lag screws--or at least mine does 1980--but the same idea would work. Good Luck, Joe
