I have a question for all you Cherubini 33 sailors.(Two actually) What is the maximum indicated RPM you can get at full throttle underway? What engine /prop do you have? Here's why, I nstalled a new Cambell Sailor 2 blade 14RH10 this winter and I can only get 3000 rpm indicated at full throttle underway. I never checked full throttle RPM last season. I get 3600 at full throttle in neutral so it looks like the govenor is set correctly. I removed and cleaned the exhaust elbow, and the prop is clean. I thought it was overpropped but yesterday we changed the back to the origigal prop and got no appreciable change in underway full throttle RPM. In smooth water I'm getting about 5Kt(Knotmeter not GPS SOG) at 3000 RPM. Engine is a 2GM with a PSS Shaft seal. Any ideas??

H33 prop/engine match

Joeseph- I have a H-33 1980 with a new Yanmar 2GM20F engine. the prop is a 14R12 Mich.Sailor P/N 370068 11/02. I am not at the boat and do not know the gear ration of the transmission. My tachometer reads 3900 rpm at WOT in neutral. Underway WOT is 3600 rpm. Speed over ground measured with GPS in flat water is 6.7knots. I generally run 2800 which gives me 4.8 to 6.2 knots (SOG) in the ICW which usually has a tidal current in either direction. I suspect you should get 5.5 knots in flat water running about 85% of wide open if your bottom and prop are clean. Hope this info is helpful to you. Henry
