engine instruction manual MD6B

I recently got hold of an instruction manual for an MD6a which I
believe pretty much covers the MD6B. However the manual describes a
sea water cooled engine. Is there any documentation describing the
MD6B with fresh water cooling? My boat is currently ashore and with
the recent frosty nights I want to drain the fresh water cooling system.

thanks

John, My Vega is in the rocky mountains and whether i leave it in the "non
freezing" marina or on hard I always drain the engine in the fall when i
change the oil and filter. I also pour Glycol in the bilge and prtabler
water tank thru to the foot pump. If your north of the 38th parellel I would
do this. I've gotr a MD7A and it 's in fine conditio.

Hi John

Freshwater cooled MD6A and B's were an aftermarket addition. Usually
consisted of a heat exchanger and electric water pump. Usual precautions are
needed, drain and fill with ant-freeze (50/50)

Also ensure the saltwater channels are flushed and filled with anti-freeze
as well.
