I need to replace the engage guages on my older C&C. Seeking suggestions if one brand is better/more reliable than the other....Teleflex, Faria, Stewart-Warner.

Thanks for your time and help.

I have the same question, although I am adding oil, temp, volt & not replacing. My parts guy suggests & sells VDO saying they're the best.

When I bought my '79 Hunter it had a VDO panel with all the gauges and tach. Now with my new 3YM30 Yanmar I have the basic Yanmar panel. The VDO panel was never a problem. Wish I could have adapted it. Sorry but I sold it with the 2QM20.

If the senders are still working well, find out who makes gauges compatible with them. :)

The guages insides are pretty much the same BUT the case and quality of the finish is the differance between the 20 dollar and 100 dollar guage and how well the finish will hold up to salt

There is a chance your old sender will not work with the new guage a there are a few OHM ranges

If you need more than one guage you can get a good deal by buying a powerboat package and just use the guages you want

I added oil pressure and voltage gauges to my helm station, and used VDO with new senders. Made the pods from PVC pipe caps and bits of teak.
