Well I made the decision to remove my engine and make sure everything checks out and fix the corrosion on the oil pan and transmission before trusting it to get me moving. That being said, I know I will be needing gaskets. I’m not a fan of the RTV goo gaskets so I want the real ones. Cork or neoprene or silicone (I doubt these were made with silicone back in 79) but you get the idea.
I know these are originally Kabota engines and I have the M5411, does anyone know what series/model of Kabota this translates too? And where is a good source of parts, Kabota or Universal.
and lastly, is my #1 injector correct? It has a nipple for a hose like the #2 does but there is no left over disconnected hose in the boat, nor is there any place that looks like it’s missing a hose. I have seen the 3cylinder engine with a return hose off the #3 injector, but that goes somewhere. I can rig something up if needed, I just need to know what to need.
