I have a Hunter 45CC. I have experienced a major corrosion problem in the heat exchanger. My boat is located in Ca & I reside in Az. For that reason I am only able to use the boat about once every 30 to 45 days. I have been considering installing a way to flush out the cooling system with fresh water. Am wondering if any other owners have experienced similiar problems & what was their fix's

Try replaceing those zinc thingys
Pretty sure your engine has a zinc. If it does not have one then you can install one pretty easily. They will do their job with out you doing anything except an occasional check to see how they are corroding.

The boat is a 2000. The only zincs that I have found are @ the prop shaft they are replaced by diver as needed. Yanmar evidently doesn't have a seperate placement.
