Just bought a Cat 27, the atomic $ has been removed (which I was gonna do anyway as I did on my previous Cat 30). I'd like to hear from other people about how to better use the engine compartment for storage or else...
We store our extra sails, fishing rods, and cockpit cushions in the engine space. However, our boat never had an inboard, so the space is open all the way to the transom. I don't know if it's like this on your boat or not. Is there some reason why your space is not well-suited to stoage?
the compartment is enclosed and had doors on the front and sides. Im considering cutting the siding off (put some reinforcement to support the cockpit) so I'll have a better access to the quarter berths. The starboard berth is totally unaccessible... what the hell where they thinking about?
