I don't know about the inboard engine but,
O'day made rigging easy. You plumb the mast with the fore and back stay and the two outer shroud, then make sure the mast is straight with the inner shouds.
Then they all get tightened so there is about an inch of play with moderate tension about 4' about the deck.
It has worked for me for 10+ years.
