I recently aquired a '93 270, hull 24. There appears to be no engine alarm. It has the Perkins M20 with the Seaward panel and idiot lights for oil and alternator, analog fuel, tach and temp, but no audible. One of my dockmates also has a 270, slightly later version. He said that his came with the sending unit and speaker but it wasn't connected. Does anyone know if Catalina was building boats without audible alarms, or if I have one how I can determine this without pulling the panel? Thanks....
