Endeavour 38/40?

I am starting to shop around for my next boat and the Endeavour brand has really caught my eye. The plan is in a number of years to take a year off and explore the warm waters to the south. I really really like the center cockpit design.What I want in a boat is solid construction, stable sailing, comfortable, shoal draft. The center cockpit design goes towards the comfort scale. I am not terribly concerned with speed, a solid, stiff cruiser able to handle a blow is more important.I am very interested in the 38 and 40 designs, from what little I can find they both are both well built, comfortable cruisers. Any one out there own or have owned one of these? Pros/Cons.Any recommendations on another boat in this size range, center cockpit that would deliver what I am looking for?

I own a 40' 81 Endeavour

I own a 81 Endeavour 40' and am pretty happy with it. The PO replaced the fuel tank with a bladder tank because of the corrosion of the aluminum tank. I am in the process of replacing the bladder tank with stainless. This is a major rework effort. In looking at these boats this is the main complaint you will find about them.
