Many far lesser boats have gone around the world and even tackled Cape Horn and the Roaring 40's. Far more capable and rugged boats have been overpowered by the sea and gone down just miles from the coast.

The answer has more to do with you than the boat.
Although cheaply and crudely built, Endeavours were built primarily for the market of people doing exactly what you describe. Each boat in their line was completely different and I don't know anything about the ones other than the 32 which is built like a tank. It's a promising place to start though.

I think these boats might have been cored, unlike the 32. Be careful about core problems on boats of this age.
