I closed American Marine & Sail Supply, Inc last year. Last week, I finally sold the last piece of equipment which was a travel lift and did the last service repair. I thought a tear would come in my eye. It was hard that I closed but new avenues have opened.

Instead of sitting on my laurels, I am and have made friends at various Boy Scout Camps while repairing daysailor and larger sailboat for God and Scouts. Now that is something I enjoy but the Scouts can tear them up and I fix them up. In fact I worked with one Scout a week ago and I reminded him of the fellow who owned American Marine & Sail Supply who had an excellent reputation. I thanked him for that kind remark which he was surprised it was I that he had talked about. He was grateful for getting the boats corrected.

You all take care as I have to get ready again to fix em up.

Great

Sounds great what you are so much good for those scouts and remember when I was young and lived in NYC and the scouts would take us up state in the country and I loved it and wish they had sail boats to use but instead we went canoeing and had I great time
We never met but you were very helpful when first going from Hobie cat to my first keel boat a Hunter 290 and we spoke I think emailing or on the phone and almost made a trip to your yard but found a good new 290,you were very helpful than and here on this forum.
Thanks Dave.

Hey Dave...

Now that you've finally "parted the rhode", kick back and enjoy those reputational fruits that you've so richly earned. Retirement can actually be fun!

Regards...
