Emerg. tiller for 32 or 37 center cockpit
Here's the pictures of my set up.
The line is used to keep the tiller from falling down and it works well using your foot so you can still see while steering, the picture of the rusty pipe is the original that I found with the boat....don't think its the one that ODay supplied cause it looks like an auto tail pipe and the slot that was cut in it looks like someone did it with there teeth.

and you would need another
person in the cockpit giving directions (I could visulized my wife and I trying this while dealing with two kids)

The one that I made was constructed with a galvanized pipe nipple for the section that goes into the rudder post cause it was a little more in outside diameter than the thin wall and I also wanted something a little stronger that wouldn't break from metal fatigue while underway and the duct tape was put on to give it a snug fit around the bolt and the inside diameter of the rudder post.
The whole system breaks down into two piece's and stores well out of the way in a spot that if I need it I'll go digging for it (under the aft sink)
For other Oday owners the same material could be used and built without welding
