I recently purchased an '87 C-30 T/R with Data Marine Electronics,( wind, depth, speed- all in one cluster) The system is dead. My question is do I have to replace the sending units too or are there systems that will hook up to the existing?Thanks,Richard

Transducers

Each manufacturers speed and depth transducers operate at different frequencies. You may be able to mach them, but the cable ends might attach differently creating more problems. Contact datamarine.com for info on troubleshooting you system.

i have a 87 30 and it came with signet instruments. they were not working so i purchased st60 from sailnet.com. saved a bundle even over a discounted west marine price. i researched the transducers and found that the majority are made by airmar and as long as the khz is the same they will work. the wires might be a bit different. i matched the colors up and my new raytheon depth works on the old transducer. saved on hauling out.
