When I launched my H260( 2000 yr) and hooked up the battery , fully charged such that it would start the motor I found that the rest of the power to the cabin was not working...no cabin lights, instruments lighting or water pump or bilge. I checked the 40 amp fuse ...it works
Any ideas ?

Not real familiar with the 270, but on my 280 I have a fuse of some sort on my battery switch (actually one for the bilge pump circuit and one for the rest of the DC circuit). And of course, there should be a main breaker for the DC side on the electric panel. I am not sure, but I think the engine starter is independent of these breakers.

I have three separate leads on each battery terminal:
1. Outboard motor starter (added by dealer)
2. Main DC panel
3. Battery charger. (added by dealer)

Check behind the battery for the Main DC panel leads. They run forward under the birth. If you remove the mattress there are a couple of access panels that will allow you to trace the leads.

On the forward starboard corner of the birth, they run up under the carpet to the main breaker panel.

The first thing to do is go to the back of the electiric al panel to see if you have power from the battery. if so, then see if you have any loose connections at the panel. This is the way I would start firts to isolate that section of the failure
