Hi there, I have a 2004 H33. I found a bolt which was meant to secure 2 wires to a plate at a keel bolt in the hull of the boat. It seems this bolt has become unthreaded, so the wires are no longer secure. Question is, does anyone know what these wires are for? I checked the manual, seems that these might be for grounding wires from the mast, to the keel screws, to a plate at the stern, but can't definitively tell. I've attached a picture. Seems like the wire comes from the mast area, then grounds to this first plate, then wire connects this one to another plate near the bilge, then runs astern. I'm not sure what could've caused this bolt to strip, but now that it is, I have to come up with a new solution to secure these wires. I don't want to remove the keel screw to remove the plate, but had a welder come look, and one option is with a TIG welder, tack a nut to the plate, then fasten wires with a new bolt to the nut. Has anyone dealt with this before? Any info would be apprecaited.
