BENETEAU 393 SYDNEY
Hello All,
We own a 2 cabin, two bathroom Beneteau 393 and wish to convert one of the the manual Jabsco toilets to an electric Jabsco in the aft facility only.
How difficult is the removal (access to bolts etc.) of the old, and obviously fitting the new and where is the most convenient place to pick up 12v power.
Thanks,
Bilgolabands

I converted mine

I bought an electric conversion kit for my Jabsco on my 2002 B361. The installation was simple. You don't have to remove the base or bowl...you just take the manual pump off (4 screws) and screw on the electric pump. The old hoses worked perfectly. Depending on the distance from your battery, you will need some "beefy" wires to carry the large current draw. Mine was less than 10 feet of wire, so I think I used 10 guage...maybe it was 8, I don't remember. The kit comes with a chart to help you determine the wire size. You will need an appropriate fuse on the battery side (the kit comes with a fuse on the pump side) because the ABA code requires a fuse within 12" of the battery terminal.

I really like my electric head. It's noisy, but so was pumping the manual head. It has less odor problems that the manual head, probably because of the mascerator and the larger volume of water going through it.

Good luck.
