I've just bought an electric start motor for my 23.5. What is the best route to get the cable connection to the battery? What type of device is used to make any hull opernings water tight?
I have an elec start on my outboard. The previous owner had it hard wired from the battery thru a hole in the hull near the motoer mount. I installed a water proof plug in the hole he made so the motor could be removed. the wire was run from the batt thru the bilge.
