the 9.9 merc outboard that came with my boat is due for overhaul - If practical I would like to switch to minn-kota 65lb thrust electric - is this enough power for 4 - 5 knots for up to 1 hour - suggestions?
Dont know why you would want 4 to 5 knots but The electric motor will power your boat for an hour or so, I run a 35 lb on my 22 MK ll with out any problems, gets it away from the dock and back again, other than that I use the sails.
