Peggy -Was hoping you could give some input on my "new" Jabsco electric head. Just got the boat this weekend, and coming from the world of small-boats, I was used to the "push-pull" of my sealand porta-potty. I've been on boats with a manual pump, "turn, pump wet, turn pump dry". The head on my boat has a switch, rotate clock-wise, an electric pump pumps wet, rotate counter clock-wise, electric pump dry. My real question for you is that the pump seems QUITE noisy, as in I'm sure the folks in the next slip know everytime we flush. And forget using it in the middle of the night without waking the boat. Is this normal and something that we need to get used to? Or is there potentially an issue with the pump? I'd even consider going to a manual pump, if a retrofit was available. I don't have a model number with me, but I'll be back on the boat this weekend and can get that info. Thanks again for the sharing of your knowledge.T Jps - Ran right out and got some K.O. for it, plan on keeping things maintained per your recommendations.
