I have been reading the posts regarding manual vs electric heads. I read about presurized, fresh water, or sea water. Would appreciate your feed back of the pros and cons of all. Have decided to install an electric head, but no clue as to presurized, fresh water, or sea water. HELP?

Hi Andy, our boat came equipped ...

with dual raw water electric heads. Easy to use, always work, never smells. I would never go back to manual again. Terry

HEADS

Our 2003 H356 has a Vacuflush head which uses fresh water from the ship's water tank. As far as I am concerned, this is a wonderful piece of machinery. Flushes completely in one cycle, uses very little fresh water, does not smell up the interior of the boat because of the fresh water flush, needs a minimum of maintenance, and is easy to explain to non-sailing friends. We do have an odor filter on the holding tank vent line but any flushing system would require this. I give the Vacuflush an A+ rating.XVMT

We like it

Ours came with an electric raw water head, and we still like it after six years. Had to dismantle it and clean it once, after a long time without use, but no failures and no problems with guests misunderstanding the directions: "Push the button." We do have a backup, btw, which is a metal bucket. Just in case.
