Does anyone have experience with converting a Jabsco manual pump head to to electric flush by using a Jabsco conversion kit? I am considering converting one to electric and leaving one as is and I would like other's opinion on this. Thanks.

We have one on our boat. It was done 4 years ago by the previous owner. We live aboard each winter for about 5 months the past 3 years. It works very well. It flushes with seawater. Not quiet but is only on for a few seconds. I had to replace a rubber seal on the macerator pump this winter in the Bahamas. It was not too bad. We could have waited to return to Florida. It was only a little drip. I had the repair kit with me and we were in a slip so just did it. I'm not a big fan of electric heads or Jabsco heads but this works very well and trouble free. It seems like an expensive conversion. If I have to replace this head I'll buy a manual Rartan, we had one before and was very pleased with it.

My holding tank seemed to fill up a lot faster. I put the manual pump back on. Other than that it worked fine.

Thanks for responding. I am going replace one head with an electric. I was just wondering if I should use the conversion kit or replace the unit completely. Bob
