Hi!
On my Vega I have an Albin motor to which a more powerful, car-type
generator was added for battery recharge.
I was thinking of reconnecting the original generator to a secondary
battery, that I'd use for some services.
They told me that the original generator is the same motor starter. Does
anyone know how it is electrically wired? If the connection to the winding
from which electricity is derived is the same that must be supplied to
start, then there is necessarily no protection diode. Otherwise, there must
be a second connection to the winding, through a diode to prevent from
current inversion. Or what?
Thanks for any help,
marco
