In my yard, they never used to charge for electric. Last year, they implied they would start charging based upon the metered rate but didn't - the supposition being that if they threatened, many of those who choose to leave their A/C running constantly regardless of whether they were there, might get more reasonable. Apparently, they didn't.
Now, they included in the upcoming season's contract a rate of $50/power cord.
It is in large part a sign of the times with rates skyrocketing. In some part, I'm sure it's a result of our power boater brothers leaving their A/Cs on constantly.
