Hey guys, it's been a while! My fault but had some things goin on.
Everything is pretty good now. I can't imagine how Sandy played out on the East Coast and hope there were no losses and everyone is safe. Here in Cleveland, It wiped out our marina. Somewhere in the number of 35 boats sank last Monday and Tuesday. Docks were torn apart and marinas devestated along the shoreline. I'm thinking easily, 2 out of 3 boats sank. We were blessed with a late season. Unfortunately the yards Tami-lift wasn't working and they pushed up the haul out date up about 2 weeks or so. Easily classified as the worst storm on Lake Erie this century.
I don't know how, but I made it. About 4 ft of rub rail was torn off but nothing compaired to countless others. Hope you guys made it through.
One huge boat was blown off it's cradle. We were fortunate, no one was hurt. I'm coming out Sunday, but it looks like the marina will be shut down next year for a complete rebuild or close entirely. The State declared it unsafe and is in lockout. They are removing the wreckage and scanning the bottom. Many are submerged.
I'll post a link to some pics. Here's what it looked like, it was a bit worse in real life. The Starlyte was one tuff cookie!
