There are adverse business situations happening.. I was very sad to see this about Hunter in the UK. http://www.ybw.com/auto/newsdesk/20080930095217pbogeneral.html

I honestly am amazed at TV "economist" who think by changing interest rates up or down that they can change whole industries. When long term businesses are "gone" - they don't come back because interest rates go up or down 1/2 a point. Ditto with marine facilities loss in Florida and other states.

Very sad.

And it is happening all over our own country. I wonder how any manufacturer of non-essentials will be able to bridge to the next economy. From all that I read it could be 2010 before we see an upturn.

Clarification

By way of clarification Select Yachts are the owners of the British Hunter brand name and have no connection with Hunter Marine of Florida.
Luhrs, who own Hunter Marine pulled out of manufacturing in the UK last year when the dollar/pound exchange rate became unfavourable.
