Ebay ad shenanigans

I ran across this ad on Ebay for a Mac 26M and the price is only 5.1 Million USD. There have been 3-4 people write to the seller pointing out the "typo" but the seller keeps answering saying they will fix it. But they keep changing the amount but never going to a realistic price.

This is not the 1st item I have seen with a totally unrealistic price.

So can someone educate me as to what game they are trying to run ?

The ad says it's a 26M which is the newest MacGregor design.
The photos are a 26C which match the 1988 year.
They don't tell you if it is a daggerboard or if it's a swing keel.
The text of the ad is for the M boat which is a way different boat.

technically the adv is correct. they were called 26 M's before the X and M models were developed.

today that boat would be called the 26D or 26C (classic).

that is probably a good deal, if its not too beat up.

only has electric motor, and some of the hardware is strange (cleats on the mast above your sholders (why?)

and they added a garlick engine mount. that is probably not supported enough for a gas motor.

the tralier is a newer galvanized model. originals were steel. and rusted badly.
