I just performed a super-easy boat modifcation on my 23..replaced my standard jib cleats with cam cleats. 2 cam cleats from marinepartdepot.com, $16 each. The bolt pattern was the same as the stock cleats! I got some harken wedges to put under them for a few dollars, some hardware..$50 and an hour later I have cam cleats! I'm not 100% sure about the stainless cams though..they look nice and I don't pull the line through them, just snap it in, so i'd expect they wont hurt my sheets, but one aspect I dont like is that when the hardware is snugged up to my liking, the cams dont move well, and they have their own idea of how tight they should be. Perhaps this is from an automotive background and i'm looking to overtighten through-bolts on fiberglass? Or perhaps the quality of my $16 cam cleats is less than desierable..I will have to investigate and let you know!
