I have noticed that when ever I shower I hate trying to dry off in a wet shower and the area between the door to the head and the hanging locker is a good area for getting dry and dressed.

Today I made a curtain that hangs on a piece of cord. There are two hooks (On on the salon part of the compression post wood and one on the wood trim piece on the ceiling above the hanging locker. The curtain stretches between these parts and gives privacy to someone after they shower. When they are done they can dry off in that area and change. The curtain can be removed and stored when not in use.

I think it cost me $6 in materials (Walmart is good for fabrics).

Good idea B.O...I like it.
I took out the "accordian folding divider" at the V berth because it was always in the way and a PITA to use and when closed, you did not have enough room in the V-berth. Your idea opens up the entire area outside the head with a lot more room and adds privacy. I'm going to do this on my C-30...thanks for sharing.

that's part of my plan also. in addition, i also took off the accordian door to the v-berth and am planning to replace that with another curtain. just trying to decide if it should go down to the sole or stop somewhere between the bottom of the berth and the sole. in either event it will be permanently fitted and will have a 'snap' closure. i did this on my 27 and it worked well.

So...

Did you also remove the piece of teak that the old curtain hung off?

I bang my head on that X#X# thing every time I move to the v berth!

I am working on getting the pics that I just took off of it on my cell phone. I will include a few pics of this. I didn't mess with the V-berth. I still have that door there because I do use that from time to time, this is just to make the hallway a private area for dressing

if you're committed to replacing the door with a curtain, the X#X# header is as useful as an appendix. the curtain doesn't have to go all the way to the top...or the bottom. it's just a 'modesty' panel.

I am not replacing any doors on my boat. I am merely making a privacy area for those who are showering so they can dry off and dress in the hallway. It works great and it can be removed easily.

Maybe at one time when I was married but now that I am not married, privacy is nice. Besides, if I have guests or family members out it is nice to have some privacy.
