Hope everyone is ready, we get a whopper Nor’easter starting in the A.M Friday. The wind field extends into the northern Chesapeake and looks real bad for Massachusetts. Surge and high water. Expect hurricane force winds.

Headed to the boat (on the hard) to make sure the jack stands are right and the boat cover is ready for the blow. If you are in the water you should be doing hurricane prep.

We're looking at 8-12 inches of heavy wet snow and winds to 40 here in Syracuse. The snowblower is fueled, the beer supply chilling in the walk-in trig (aka the garage). Need a shivering emoji here!

Crap, that’s what I forgot to do. Better go check fuel level in the snowblower. The beer supply is always maintained at appropriate foul weather levels. We have a similar forecast down here near Binghamton. This was the surprise we got last year mid-March...

Nice foul weather gear! The wife just informed me that she didn't have any white wine...... Off to the liquor store. :)

I will have to check on my chickens. I'm out of gas for my snow blower. It's a 2.4 mile walk to town plus another mile to the nearest had station. It's up hill on the way back, when I'll have a full had can.
I think I'll just wait till the snow melts again. I got no where I need to go. Our celler is filled with home made wine, elderberry, choke cherry, pear, wild plum, wild grapes, blueberry, dandelion (oh, the dandelion), even tomato, and various combinations. What was the 'YUM' emogi? :)++:dancing:+:pimp: or something like that?

I sincerely hope you all fair well through the storm. If you need my help, I'll be right here, just post.

@Will Gilmore, it’s not snowing yet...but I believe you’ve been to the cellar already. My Cindy is a vintner as well. We gift most of her production, but retain several bottles in case of foul weather ...or new guests on the boat in Summer.

I keep a lot of stuff in the cellar. Wine ISN'T the only reason I need to go down there! :liar: I have tools down there. There's are shelves of spices and canned goods. We have homemade jams and salsa and BBQ sauce and Applesauce down there. There are extra lightbulb and cleaning supplies and paper products in the basement. There are chicken feed bags and other stuff of that nature down there. Gee, there are lots of reasons I have to go down to the basement, often. Just because there are also hundreds of delicious bottles of homemade wine and infused lemon and elderflower cellos and orange peel flavored vodkas and small batches of amazingly good craft beer doesn't mean, when I go down to the basement, it has anything at all to do with "quenching my thirst". :waycool:

Not much snow in this event up north. We are getting hammered with wind and rain right now and will be heading up to Lincoln NH hopefully to ski. The snow is forecasted inland not in the mountains. We,re forecasted for 70 mph wind gust later today. Wouldn't be surprised if we loose power at some point. And it's 42 degrees in Greenland and above freezing in the North Pole. Go figure! Looks like our sailing seasons will be getting more intense in the years to come.

The weather looks better up here. If Loon has bad weather, try driving through the notch to Canon, different weather system. Franconia and Kinsman ridges stop a lot of weather from the Southwest.

I will send pictures instead.

Funny thing happens then the weather is warmer...

Bikinis get smaller.:pimp:

Jim...

PS: We seem to find a shady spot and a cold beverage in the summer, but not so easy to get warm when it gets COLD outside.:)
