Break out the rain gear and batten down the hatches. This front that blew through here last night will get to you by tomorrow. I got a little lucky, and we just got the southern end of it here, but had very heavy rain, and some really serious winds. Heard 60 to 70. And it was worse a little north of here. So be prepared, cause it's coming. Hope for everyone it weakens a little on the way.

though reefed usually for me...26s, mostly sailed in a lake that gets gusty anything above 14 mph or so; and reduced my sails go. Just in time for the weekend! Yeeehhaaw...

Drove Through it All Day Long

We went to the Austin Yacht Club to pick up a couple of boats for our youth sailing program. Left Austin at 0730 in the rain and it did not stop untill we got to Biloxi at about 2200 finally hade it home around 0100. Guess we followed it all the way across. Looked like it was real bad around Hammond off of I-12 must have been a tornado came across the highway. Lesser or perhap more sensible men would have pulled over and stoped for the night but we pressed on. Was not real bad here when it came through today.

Bad storm last monday at Jersey shore

Ocean City NJ saw peak wind gusts at 78 MPH and sustained winds 50 MPH for more than 5 hours overnight. I heard that lots of boats sunk. My friends boat had the bow knocked of by a boat dragging two pilings. After bouncing off of his boat the wayward boat went to the next slip over and bashed that boat until it sunk. I reard that Harbor House (condos) small marina was completely gone.

Send Some rain

You can send some of that weather down here so can make things green and make flowers bloom again. Even more keep the fires from starting and wet down the ones already burning. pretty dry in all of Florida and hoping the weather forcast is true for rain in a few days. Nick
