Oh looking at the plate map of the Caribbean basin brings back Tectonic class tests from the 60’s. Memories that were long ago suppressed by college education in the benefits of beer.
Love the way the Caribbean plate is folding into the Lesser Antilles Trench... Before too long (in Geology time) the BVI will be go the way of Atlantis.

For the open minded among you - read the 1950's book Worlds in Collision by Immanuel Velikovsky. He describes how close planetary encounters in the not so distant past caused the near destruction of the earth. He describes how such an encounter caused every volcano to erupt, boiled the oceans, covered the world in darkness, and ended in an ice age. Book was banned and burned by academia in the fifties. Still in print, however.

That video looks like a version of Frisco Bay. Notice the huge area of flat water further inland.There is a limit to how much wave can fit thru such a narrow opening. They'd be better off to head inland, where the wave would have dissipated ,and be barely noticeable.It would have drastically diminished, after passing thru such a narrow opening.
