There seems to be two selden folding pad eyes on the interior of my swim platform in the cockpit. Are these for a tether? Seems a strange place to put them if so. I've used them to secure a fender horizontally when the platform is lowered at port.
If they are on the moving part of your swim plateform no not at all,pad eyes for tethering need to be inside the cockpit near the helm seat and also for crew siting in the cockpit.
I use the stainless rail of my cockpit table at the bottom where it is bolted down to the floor.
I don't really remember the new e33 system.

Umm. I agree it would be a very strange place to put a fastening point for a tether. Also I would not depend on the two small screws holding that pad eye to the load of a person in motion. There are many other far more secure spots in the cockpit area to attach a tether. However, I have forwarded your question on to my Hunter (actually Marlow-Hunter) Service manager for her to answer.
That is exactly what we use the small eyepads for. We have a Danfender fender step that doubles as a step for my wife to step off when docking and a fender for the stern when we are tied up stern to. You must remind your guests to step from dock to swim platform (and vis versa) and not on the fender.
Great Photo's for sure and confirms not for securing a tether at all and securing a tether in cocckpit is to keep from falling over board and not being dragged behind your boat and than drowning.
Good for maybe tieing fenders.
