Hmmm
What happens when the wind does shift and the main is backwinded against the brake? Its gotta move some right? So if you turn off the wind you'd end up with two half jibes wouldn't you (one as it tries and two as you adjust course). I only sail on the lake (and in my dreams). The wind here tends to be pretty shifty. I've never used a preventer either. I mostly sail singlehanded with one hand on the tiller. Seems like for singlehanding that sucker is gonna be a challange to get too to adjuts tension. The interesting piece at the site is the flaking system. Tha't looks pretty slick without all those lazyjack lines. Hopefully someone who uses the brake will reply.Mike
