This may sound like a dumb question, but I have not done much overnight sailing and long trips, so I am not experienced in this area. My question is- what is proper etiquette for visiting a marina and obtaining a guest slip, or "picking up a mooring"? I would like to plan longer trips, and any advice is appreciated.
