Just installed a new Icom DSC VHF last weekend. According to the display all is OK and it is reading GPS signal and my mmsi # has been loaded. And radio checks are all ok loud & clear. But is there a way to test the actual DSC "distress" button to see if it works? Thanks. Bob

Warren, Thanks for the link. I learned a lot about DSC radio operation that I did not know. I didn't know you could use the DSC for non-emergency hailing and position tracking of another DSC equiped boat. Has anyone used this feature? Bob R
