Just replaced my Raymarine C70 MFD with an eS750.
I have everything communicating except making a connection for DSC to my iCom
VHF. It was connected NMEA 0183 in the old unit, but I have used the 0183 port on the new MFD to connect the old seatalk instruments. (should have used the bigger MFD, but lacked space on the pod)
Anyone have any experience/suggestions with similar upgrades?

How about a Seatalk-1 to Seatalk-ng converter to free up that connection. Also there are lots of 183 to Nmea 2000 converters which only need a $25 cable to get to SeatalkNG I recommend posting your question to the Raymarine forum. The moderator Chuck is very helpful

Your mfd looks funny do you mean the es78?? I've not heard of a 750

Leslie: I misquoted . Its an eS75
I am already using the seatalk 1 to seatalk ng converter to daisy chain autopilot, depth, and wind to the port in the es75.

Actisence, Garmin and Maretronics make good converters to N2K make sure the handle the PGNs your interested in and have capability to do both to and from VHF. You might also look into the cost of a N2K VHF vs the hastle of converters.

My SH GX2150talks to/from my e7D on 183 but I've never figured out how to make a DCS call from the mfd

Just ground the negative side of the NMEA 183 transmit coming from the plotter.

I have a converter from Raymarine too.
Perhaps its an OLD model like me. You might ask them, where you bought your eS750.
