When I pump the marine head in the wet setting it works fine. When I turn to the dry setting it will only pump a short distance and then load up with back pressure. What might the problem be?

Common problem in Jabsco toilets

Due to either a design or tooling flaw, the wet/dry valve is defective. It's just a little "gate" that the lever swings to block or unblock the flow of flush water...in a high percentage of toilets made in in the last 5 years it hangs, creating backpressure that many users mistake for a clog downstream. The only cure is a new wet/dry valve assembly...or a new higher quality toilet.

Back Pressure

Had the same problem two weeks ago. Turned out to be a clogged discharge hose. Purchased a plumbers snake from the local hardware store and went to work on it. Not something I want to do again. Good Luck. OBTW, a strip of Vicks Vapor Rub across the upper lip helps.
