Dry Tortugas-Key West

Well I finally made it to the Dry Tortugas and over to Key West and it was great and got back today even got to do some great sailing even though the weather was very windy at times on our nose but we made it back safe and sound with our first night anchored in the Dry Tortugas when the weather kicked up with some heavy wind and rain over night and had to scramble top side after dragging almost onto land so make sure to put out plenty of scope for sure because the weather gets pretty hairy.

Dry Tortugas

Well we started out 2 boats but with the weather not looking so good the other Hunter 34 decided to hold up in Pelican Bay ater I told them when I went out Boca Grand inlet and turned around and went inside down to Ding Darling anchorage and take it from there,they decided to go home with thunderstorm warnings and me and crew pressed on.
We anchored over night and left the anchorage early am with thunderstorms passing to the east and west of us as we headed to Dry Tortugas and motored and sailed all day and night until we arrived around 8am,it was fantastic and beautiful.
