Dry Tortuga's Flotilla?

Hi all,

I am trying to put together a flotilla to the Dry Tortuga's, from Tampa Bay for April 2010. So far there are 3 boats, a Catalina 38, 35, and 32, possibly a Hunter 28. I figure there is more fun in groups, and the more the merrier. The weather in April is great for this kind of run.

Also IF the present administration opens Cuba to sailing, we would like to make this a Tortuga, Havana, Key West trip. Any one interested? It would be about a 2 week sail, or 7-8 days for the Tortuga's only.

If you are in the Tampa Bar area, and are interested in this run please let me know.

I live in New Port Richey and woulod sign up for the Tortugas trip. Need more itinerary though. Run all day and night or anchor up ? I would be on either an Oday 25 or a Morgan 33OI if completed. Thanks-Patrick also

I am in Naples and might be interrested in jumping in on the trip. I have made it several times. Easiest is to start here then go to Shark River, stop, then Key West , stop, then Tortugas. Fastest is to go to the tortugas. It really is just an overnight sail, 100 miles from Naples. There are a lot of folks here waiting on Cuba to open up. I have a Catalina 34. Terry

I am Interested

I would love to join in for sure,April or May sounds real good to me,I already have crew ready to join me.
I sailed down from NY all off shore with help and than from east coast Florida around the Keys up to Punta Gorda but did it 5 days and did not really get to stop and enjoy it so would love to join in in any part of the trip.
Keep us posted on plans.
My crew around the keys did not ever sail before but the NY to Florida were all veterans.

There are several members of the Tampa Bay Sailmonsters that are planning such a trip. We have a raftup party this weekend and will ask around for you. I would love to do that trip. Can't wait for Cuba to open up.
